In these retouching examples the process employed was as follows:
First the skin blemishes where removed, and then the image was separated into 2 frequencies so as to separate the skin tones from the skin textures. At this stage the existing skin tones were softened and then  tonal sculpturing was applied by hand to targeted locations to transform the areas that required colour and depth adjustment etc. 
To create more dimension some dodge and burn was applied to make certain areas of the face more prominent.  In subject 1 we also identified that the left hand check (right side of the photo) had a strange sunken attribute which was corrected by realigning the lower jaw line and then pushing the upper check out to provide better definition overall.  
To complete the projects some iris enhancement was applied to make the eyes slightly more captivating.
